A Niche Wildlife and Photography Trip to the Jim Corbett National Park - March 2015.
March is known to be fulfilling in terms of Wildlife Sightings and Best Light for Outdoor Photography. With our experience of Wildlife Photography and numerous Excursions in the wild we bring the very best for Adventure seekers.
3 Night 4 Day trip to the Corbett
Dates : 19/20/21st March 2016
Itinerary : Day 1
Checkin at our Forest Resort Near Nainital, have a scrumptious lunch and a quiche introduction session and then break for a while. Post which we set out on a Nature Trail for bird sightings ranging from Himalyan Bulbuls, Grey Bushchat, Fantail, Crimson Sunbirds, Jungle Babblers, Oriental White Eye, Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, White Throated Kingfisher, Canary Flycatcher and many more.
We come back and get into the special setting for Photography Training. We share the images clicked and get review and critique on the images. This is a one of a kind experience for taking your expertise from an Enthusisast to a Pro.
Post the Photography session we enjoy the weather and setup a camp fire accompanied by group activities. Post dinner its time to shut the lights and catch some much need sleep for the nature trail the next morning.
Itenerary : Day 2
We start our day with the early morning welcome by a plethora of birds and make some awe inspiring images on our 2 kilometer walk in the greens.
Once we are back from our early morning bird and wildlife sightings we set off for a 2 hour drive to Ramnagar and reach the main Dhikala Zone Forest Gate for checkin into our Forest Rest house of the Jim Corbett National Park. Post checkin we take a short break for a quick bite and set ourselves up for our first Jeep Safari.
Our afternoon Safari would give us immense opportunities to picture Sambar Deer, Spotted Deer, Wild Boars, Indian Gaur, Wild Elephants, Black footed Langurs, Jungle fowl, Striped mongoose and many more.
We could be really Lucky since it is March to spot some of the most Bumper Sightings of the Jim Corbett 'Mr Stripes'.
Once we have made the best out of our First Jeep Safari we come back to our Rest house and take a quick bite and gather for a Photography Talk and strategies to avoid mistakes which we have made during the afternoon Safari. By that time it would be late in the evening and we would be served with the Dinner.
Post which we crash into our beds for charging up for the next day
Itenerary : Day 3
We set ourselves early at 6.00AM for a quick breakfast and get into our jeeps for some early morning sightings. We try and make the best of our Safari in the Dhikala zone.
Back from the 2nd safari we would have a quick Lunch and would set off for our next zone which is the Bijrani Zone.
We checkin into the Forest Rest house and Get ready for our Afternoon Safari (Our 3rd Safari) and make some amazing images on the way. By this time you would have already got enough handhold an experience of capturing a variety of images in different lighting situations.
Correct camera settings, favorable lighting and right timing to press the shutter is the key to some amazing photography which you will learn all the way and all the time from Niraj. Once we are back we would have the Dinner and Photography Talk and close the day and catch some good night's sleep.
Itenerary : Day 4
Our Day would begin with the last safari for the Trip (the 4th Safari) and with all the correct strategies and help of experienced drivers we will try to gain maximum sightings for the day and close the trip by 2pm.
We will then leave for our individual destinations and a lot of stories to tell our folks back home about the adventures you would have had during your trip to Corbett.
